About La Calabrisella

The subtle hum of conversations and the scent of freshly baked dough set an inviting tone at La Calabrisella. The interior manages to balance between cozy and contemporary, offering an ambiance that feels both approachable and thoughtfully curated. While the wait times can stretch slightly during busier evenings, the staff remains attentive, demonstrating a keen understanding of the menu’s nuances. The pizza crusts arrive with a sourced crispness, supporting a variety of toppings that highlight both traditional and more adventurous flavors, reflecting a careful attention to ingredient quality without overcomplicating the dishes.

Exploring La Calabrisella’s menu reveals a dedication to simplicity paired with flavor. Specialty pizzas blend local and Italian influences, offering surprising combinations that satisfy without overwhelming the palate. The oyster mushrooms and spicy nduja, for example, spoke clearly of the chef’s refined touch, even if some might yearn for a touch more variety beyond the classic selections. Readers looking through La Calabrisella reviews often note this balance—the familiar with a twisted flair—and photos shared online underscore the visual appeal of their artisanal craftsmanship. Portions remain modest, aligning with the quality-driven approach but perhaps leaving heartier appetites wanting.

Casual diners wandering past Oefelestraße 2 will sense this restaurant’s growing place within Munich’s pizza scene. The subtle warmth of service contributes to the experience, making it a reliable spot for those seeking a meal punctuated by quality rather than grandeur. While the price point fits generally within mid-range expectations, those consulting La Calabrisella restaurant discussions find that the atmosphere and ingredient sourcing justify the investment to some degree. The overall impression is that of a well-executed concept, where slight constraints in menu breadth do not overshadow the pleasant dining moments and thoughtful execution found at this urban pizza corner.

The best “hole-in-a-wall” pizza place that Munich has to offer. My boyfriend and I ordered the “Salame & Pepperoni” pizza and it was delicious. Luigi the owner and cook makes you fee welcome and adds to the authentic feel of the restaurant. I will definitely recommend this place to my friends.

I cannot recommend this place enough, it is a small “hole in the wall” authentic Italian pizza place, where you order your favourite, take it away and ideally sit and enjoy it by the river which is just a few mins walk from there. The couple owning this place is Italian, they are very kind and seemingly do what they love - pizza made with love and passion. It’s reasonably priced and VERY delicious

Loved this place! Small takeaway with a few bar stools but feels very homely, we literally watched the owner make our pizzas and they were delicious. Would definitely come back.

Place own by a cute old couple from Calabria. They are very nice but I’m not super convinced by the pizza, especially the dough…
